Breaking the silence.

I wonder who even reads this blog anymore. After almost a year of non-activity. I've been updating my personal blog but I guess I will try and make an effort to update this too. So hello, y'all! I hope life's been treating you well.

For a start, here are some of the new purses from my current collection - {chevron & stripes} and {polka dotaholics}

MAD about giving.

It's been a while, I know! But here's what I've had some time for lately:

Grannypurse is collaborating with M.A.D about Hair, to help the underprivileged children in Cambodia and Myanmar. A portion of the sale proceeds from purses purchased at the salon will be used to buy daily necessities and/or food supplies for these families (and this will be supported by the church outreach group from Grace Assembly of God)

We believe that with your wholehearted support and contribution, our efforts will go a long way in reaching out to these children and their families.

I woke up

to an email notification that said "Hi grannypurse, Ellen DeGeneres (TheEllenShow) is now following your tweets on Twitter."

I thought it was some kinda joke. I clicked on my "My Friends" list and she wasn't there! So i figured, bugger, must have been a mistake. Went back to my email notification screen, and there it was, staring back at me: "Hi grannypurse, Ellen DeGeneres (TheEllenShow) is now following your tweets on Twitter."

Went back to Twitter, and clicked on "My Followers" this time. (Yeah, what was I thinking, that it wasn't enough for Ellen to follow me, that she had to be my FRIEND too? Com'on Jen.)

Lo and Behold. Hello there, Ellen! *does a little Ellen jig*

I need more mornings like these.

Another two made their way outta my hands, and into those of their new owner this week. Thank You so much for all yer support. My mornings have never been this good.

Pretty Useless

My Goode Morning medium kisslock purse made it into the latest issue of 8 Days this week (issue #1019, 29 April 2010), under their SHOP feature double-page spread! *WOOT* But I was kinda disappointed the photo didn't do much justice to the purse :/

Then again, I really should not be "complaining" since it is free advertising and someone DID buy that purse.

Radio Silence.

It's been a while, I know! *hangs head low* But I've been sooooo busy doing time as an office rat, that I haven't had time to snip, cut or sew!

But I'll have some exciting news coming up soonish... as soon as I'm done with THE prep, I'll announce it here. For those who have always wanted the "touchy, feely before the buy", your prayers will soon to answered.
